Shred Betties

Shredbetties.com is an online women's snowboarding magazine that has been quite successful over its past 4 years of operation. I became involved with organization last November with intentions to implement a printed magazine to ShredBetties' long list of advertising materials. Although the desire was there to create this magazine, there were too many elements working against us to get this project off the ground. So we have shifted our priorities and have decided to give the site and advertising pieces a serious face-lift and nearly a complete rebranding.

For this summer we are looking to have the following accomplished:
  1. logo redesign
  2. website comps / design
  3. Marketing Kit / Media distribution package
  4. Event Proposal and execution
  5. T-shirts/ Sweatshirt designs
  6. Bandannas
  7. Stickers
  8. Posters
  9. Event promotions (t-shirts, advertising, prizes, stickers, etc.)
  10. Print magazine (short 'zine, about 30 pages in length.)
  11. Written blog entries
Luckily we have an excellent team of artists and designers to help accomplish these goals. We also have interns and other contributing women artists who are just as dedicated to the cause as we are.

Here are some examples of tshirts: CafePress

sweatshirt design by Molly Curtiss displaying official SB graphic logo- the shred bunny & bones.

I would be willing to show other ideas that have been sent to me over the past 7 months, but I think that displaying unpublished artwork as such would be a big no-no.

But I have no problem displaying some of my own unpublished work for the sake of the blog. Below you will find links to a few Shred Betties projects that I have been working on. First off, I am trying to organize an all day snowboarding event for this coming December 2009. You can find the event proposal here: Betty's Take Over Day- A Day in the Park

I have also been writing a blog entry entitled: The Off Season; What to do to keep your mind and body in the game for next season.

I have also tried my hand at a new logo.. here is an example of that. (click to enlarge)

I will update this post as I create the new pieces and make moves towards the re-branding.
